"Walking home from the White Box Rise shops with 4 bags of shopping and the postie comes up behind me on his motorbike. He stops and asks if they are heavy and asks me where I live. I tell him the address and he tells me to put the bags in his satchels and tells me he will leave them on the front step for me. I thank him profusely and can't believe that he would offer to do that. 5 minutes later he is back telling me mission accomplished." (Credit: Facebook/Albury Wodonga Random Acts of Kindness" #9Today
"This woman, Kaylen, at Sports Clips in Charleston did more for my heart than she will probably ever realise. Haircuts with Isaiah are no small feat. He hates having anything near his ears, the sound of clippers sends him into a tailspin...this evening was no different. I was ready to give up, but she wasn't. She sat on the floor with my baby in her lap, and she cut his hair. They talked about Dory and Christmas, and she even let him spray her with her water bottle. Autism can be so very, very hard, but people like this make our days just a little easier." 💕 (Credit: Facebook/ Jennifer McCafferty) #9Today
About 3 years ago, when I was living with him and penniless, my Dad Vincie started playing guitar for me. He wouldn't let me pay him, he just wanted to help me get back on my feet. We started in a 50 seater in trades hall at the MICF with my show 'Divorce the Musical' and did well, sold out 22 shows in fact- he still wouldn't take any money. Then we moved into a 150 seater and started touring nationally with 'The Motherload' and did well, sold out about 43 shows- he still wouldn't take any money. Then this year my career kicked up a bit and we were playing 1000+ seaters around the country and again selling out, but still he wouldn't let me pay him. What Vincie didn't know was that every time we did a gig, I put his pay into a bank account because I had a plan. For almost 80 gigs over 3 years I squirrelled the cash away and FINALLY this week, I was able to give him something as thanks for all his support. You see, my Dad is a huge rev head, he loves cars, european ones.. This week I turned up with his dream car and gave it to him: an amg Merc. Look it's a bit older and second hand but it's a beauty. He was pumped to say the least, I thought his heart may burst in his chest! I've always wanted to do this for him, since I was a kid. So thanks for having my back Vincie, drive safely you lunatic!
