There's no denying it - a terrible record on healthcare almost cost the Turnbull Government this election.
Everywhere you turn, Coalition MPs and conservative commentators are blaming their shocking result on a 'Medi-scare' campaign. But the healthcare campaign wasn't just coming from the opposition: it featured doctors, nurses, healthcare workers of all stripes, not to mention a massive coalition of community groups.
And in a show of his true feelings yesterday, Treasurer Morrison warned that Medicare can't be a "money pit".
The electorate sent the Coalition a clear message on healthcare - shame it's falling on deaf ears.
An 8 week old puppy was found left for dead in Truganina Park on Wednesday this week.
She was found bashed and burnt.
She was taken to a local emergency vet who did everything they could to treat and rehydrate her, but her condition kept deteriorating. The extent of her injuries had already damaged her internal organs and would have affected her future growth. They made the tough decision to end her suffering and put her to sleep one last time.
This poor baby would not have suffered in silence. Someone must have seen or heard something - please share to get the word out there and help us find the person/s responsible for this!

We apologise for the graphic image, it's awful and we understand that, but we're hoping this helps someone recognise this pup so they can come forward and provide the information we need for our investigation. Please, please share.

Today is #RUOKDay, an opportunity to check in on each other and start meaningful conversations; one simple question could change someone’s life for the better.
Look around at your family, neighbours, friends and colleagues – not just today, but every day of the year. If you think someone is having a tough time or just aren’t themselves, don’t ignore the signs – start a conversation and ask “are you ok?” Similarly, if you're struggling there is no shame in asking for support; it’s OK to not be OK. For tips on asking this R U OK Day? visit: www.ruok.org.au for advice on how to have a conversation with a work colleague visit: bb.org.au/2c9PalH
It’s also important to be prepared in case someone answers “no" – and know what support options are available. If someone is struggling, you can always recommend or contact our 24/7 Support Service, on 1300 22 4636 or online at www.beyondblue.org.au/getsupport
HOPE IS ALL THEY HAVE… There is no greater pain for any family than to have a child go missing and not know where they are or if they’re safe. Hope is all they have…
The abduction of William has cut deeply into the hearts and souls of all Australians; and no one more so than William’s family who hope beyond hope that their dear little boy will be found alive and well and returned safely to the heart of his family where he belongs.
Every day is a struggle for this beautiful family. Every day they try to keep going not knowing what has happened to their little boy. Every day they pray that he is safe, that he is loved… that he’s not afraid. Every day they hope that the next phone call might be the one telling them their boy has been found. Every day they hope that the somebody who knows something comes forward so Police can bring little William home. Every single day…
If you are the somebody who knows something or suspects someone may have been involved in the abduction of William Tyrrell, now is the time to make the call to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or contact Crime Stoppers' online reporting page nsw.crimestoppers.com.au.

This is Karen Ristevski, a good friend of mine and Love Your Sister. While Sam was unicycling around Australia in 2013 doing events nearly every night, Karen kindly donated mastectomy-friendly frocks from her own designer range Bella Bleu Boutique Melbourne so I could feel good at all the fundraisers. We’ve laughed together, dressed and undressed together, and shared our highs and lows. I am dismayed to hear that Karen was reported missing from her home in Avondale Heights (VIC) on Wednesday with no leads in the case so far.
Have you seen Karen? Please share this with all your Facebook friends in the hope that somebody may have seen her. Contact Avondale Heights police on 03 9337 6777 if you have any relevant information.
Em, Sam and I are thinking of Karen’s family and praying for the safe return of this beautiful, gentle and loving woman. XX Connie www.facebook.com/karen.ristevski
