Last night I told Prime Minister Malcom Turnbull, that Indigenous suicide is a national crisis!! Our people die by suicide at a rate of 7x higher than non Indigenous Australians - last night at the Australian Mental Health Prize, Prime Minister Malcom Turnbull failed to identify our people as a high importance to keep alive - I made sure he heard that it was not good enough to miss this in a 20min speech about importance of suicide prevention and mental health in Australia; our people's lives matter!

Craig Gup Guthrie sent another photo with a soft drink theme; "Who remembers "Leed" Lemonade, 'lemonade lovers love Leed'. 1968-1984." Leed was around from the late 60s I believe and was made and distributed by Coca-Cola Amatil in only New Zealand, Australia, London, United Kingdom and Fiji. it was discontinued in 1984 and replaced by the more widely known Sprite brand.
There's 112 dog years between these two pictures. "She's definitely getting close to the end and it's pretty sad. But knowing that my family rescued her from a probable short and hard life comforts me." (Credit: Reddit/zboubDeCampagne) #9Today
When four of Santa's elves got sick, the trainee elves did not produce toys as fast as the regular ones, and Santa began to feel the Pre-Christmas pressure.
Then Mrs. Claus told Santa her Mother was coming to visit, which stressed Santa even more.
When he went to harness the reindeer, he found that three of them were about to give birth and two others had jumped the fence and were out, Heaven knows where.
Then when he began to load the sleigh, one of the floorboards cracked, the toy bag fell to the ground and all the toys were scattered.
Frustrated, Santa went in the house for a cup of apple cider and a shot of rum. When he went to the cupboard, he discovered the elves had drunk all the cider and hidden the liquor.. In his frustration, he accidentally dropped the cider jug, and it broke into hundreds of little glass pieces all over the kitchen floor.
He went to get the broom and found the mice had eaten all the straw off the end of the broom.
Just then the doorbell rang, and an irritated Santa marched to the door, yanked it open, and there stood a little angel with a great big Christmas tree.
The angel said very cheerfully, 'Merry Christmas, Santa. Isn't this a lovely day? I have a beautiful tree for you. Where would you like me to stick it?' And thus began the tradition of the little angel on top of the Christmas tree...
Pinching this from a friend eho pinched it from their friend.
"Tell me something good that happened this year, something that made you happy or gave you hope, something you will hold onto as we move toward 2017."
I'll start. I believe that the conservative forces embraced by Brexiters, Trumpets and the rest of them will be countered by a more proactive Left. Rather than this signifying a win for bigotry and the Right, I think it will mobilise what was becoming an increasingly apathetic form of mainstream activism. This is good because it means we won't give up.
Something that has made me happy is the birth of my child, supported by a state that provides free healthcare and that allowed me to have certain interventions at no cost to myself aside from the loss of the soda stream I left in the birthing suite. Childbirth is one of the most dangerous things the body can go through - there's a reason the maternal mortality rate is so high in regions where healthcare is either prohibitively expensive or non existent entirely. My labour was reasonably straightforward by Australian healthcare standards, but there were complications that could have easily resulted in the death of my child had I not had the privilege of free care at one of the world's leading hospitals. My child, chosen and wanted and loved, has profoundly changed my life and I love them more than I even thought possible.
As we move onto 2017, I will hold onto this simple thought. It has proven helpful in all manner of challenges, be they personal, mental or political:
Time is always marching forwards, and nothing lasts forever.
5 Muslims of both Lebanese and Egyptian background are currently in custody after planning a Christmas day massacre in Melbourne - Targets included Fed square, Flinders St station and St Pauls Cathedral. The Muslims were preparing to use improvised explosive devices, guns and knives.
DMW finished the year off with a real bang with this massive build. A whole new setup for this turbo 6 cruiser. Custom alloy tray, slide on alloy canopy, dog box, custom roof rack, fridge drop slide, rear drawer, 100l water tank, 4 under tray toolboxes and that's without even starting on the mechanical work we performed here as well. The ute itself was treated to a gearbox and diff overhaul, new clutch, diff lockers, snorkel, torqit polished stainless 3" exhaust & performance chip. A big job all up but we are super happy with the results. Let us know what you think!!!
