Just a quick update to let you know the search for Oscar continues. Our 'Oscar Recovery team' aka his dedicated keepers will be out and about again tonight volunteering their time to find him.
Last night he was spotted near the Engineering Building at The University of Adelaide north terrace campus perched on an air conditioner. The unit looks similar to the hatch to his aviary so we think he may be disorientated.
Oscar has lovely slate grey back with white spots and a greyish belly with a beautiful face and dark eyes. He is believed to be either within the university grounds, or within 1km of the zoo. If you’re in the area, please check all window sills, shelves, and trees.
He’s not a bird that flies too far, so we’re really hopeful that he’s hanging around the local area. If you spot Oscar, please call his recovery team on 0408 011 443 or leave a comment below. Please share this post so we can reach as many people as possible to make sure Oscar is safe. Thank you very much for your help! 💚
