Around 12 years ago I knew this muso from Freo, I'd go and watch all of his gigs along side the rest of the town.
A talented young man, I remember meeting his mum, she'd be watching him, all the time gleaming at him as he sang.
He's had a lot of success since and last night he was gigging in my town, my brother and mates were going to watch it so I came along. Great musician, but the one thing that stood out the most was that in the crowd was still his beautiful mum, a couple of years older, dreadlocks a bit longer, with the exact same look on her face, gleaming at her boy.
As he paid her tribute and claimed that he got everything he has from her.
So I went home, to this guy who warms my bed and resumed my position in his life, gleaming at him for eternity.

50th Anniversary of Black Tuesday in Tasmania… today we remember
The 1967 Tasmanian Bushfires is also referred to as Black Tuesday and is the worst bushfire events in Tasmania’s history. It is also one of Australia’s worst bushfire events on record. Today we look back exactly 50 years ago.
The day before many people remembered looking at Mt Wellington and it was the deepest colour of blue they had ever seen! What they didn’t know was this blue colour was due to the gases evaporating from the eucalyptus trees! On Black Tuesday the temperature hit 39 degrees and the results were Catastrophic!
During the next 24 hours the bushfire was to take 62 lives, injure a further 900 people and destroy 1,400 homes. The bushfires also destroyed 80 bridges, 1500 vehicles and 62000 head of stock were burned. #Tasmania
Never been prouder to be an Australian then I am today.
To anybody who believes that changing the day is fuelled by anger or guilt, bottom right is Clarky, didn't know me from a bar of soap, tried to give my kids his last $3 for a lemonade, then he gave me a bracelet and wrote the words "love means everything" on my hand.
Above him is the mayor that I am proud to call our leader. Bravery, unity and a mutual love for this land. Proud as punch.👌🏼👑
