"My husband doesn't have a lot, neither of us do. We scrape and scrape to pay bills and put food in our bellies, but after almost 2 years of dating we decided that we couldn't wait anymore, so we didn't. I wasn't even thinking about rings, I just wanted to marry my best friend, but he wouldn't have it. He scraped up just enough money to buy me two matching rings from Pandora. Sterling silver and CZ to be exact. That's what sits on my ring finger, and I am so in love with them. While we were purchasing my rings however, another lady that was working there came over to help the lady selling them to us. She said, "Y'all can you believe that some men get these as engagement rings? How pathetic." When she said that I watched my now husband's face fall. He already felt like a failure, asking me again and again "Are you sure you'll be happy with these? Are you sure this is okay?" He was so upset at the idea of not making me happy enough and of me not wanting to marry him because my rings didn't cost enough money or weren't flashy enough. I said, "It isn't the ring that matters, it is the love that goes into buying one that is." We bought the rings and left. Y'all I would have gotten married to this man if it had been a 25¢ gum ball machine ring. When did our nation fall so far to think the only way a man can truly love a woman is if he buys her $3,000+ jewelry and makes a public decree of his affection with said flashy ring? Sure they are nice, sure the sentiment is wonderful and I'm not trying to cut down any of your experiences, but when did it come to all that? Why do material possessions equate love?? My husband was so afraid of me not wanting him because he couldn't afford a piece of jewelry. He was afraid that the love I have for him would pale because he couldn't afford the wedding set I wanted. The world has made it this way and it is so sad. But here I am though, Court-House married, $130 ring set, the love of my life by my side and happier than I could ever imagine." (Credit: Facebook/Ariel Desiree McRae) #9Today

Man arrested as child, 2, fights for life after ‘vicious assault’ In what can only be described as a horrifying assault a 2 year old baby has been left in a critical condition in hospital.
The baby's mother is believed to have been living in the Guilford granny flat for 6 weeks with the "man" who assaulted the baby after only knowing him for a short period of time.
Having said that she is not even slightly to blame for this, there is only one person to blame for the cowardly and viscous assault of this innocent 2 year old and that is the vile thing in the back of the paddy wagon Mr Mohammed Khazma (pictured)
We have no idea of motive we have no idea of history or any of that other stuff that doesn't even slightly matter but what we do know is another innocent life has been forever altered.
If you pray or send good vibes or whatever you do please do so for this young angel currently fighting for their life in a critical condition in hospital.

The man who allegedly bashed a two-year-old girl in a 'shocking' assault had only been dating the toddler's mother for six weeks, police say.
Mohammed Khazma, 22, was arrested at Fairfield in Sydney's west just before 5pm on Monday and charged with reckless assault causing grievous bodily harm.
He did not come up from the cells during a brief appearance at Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday.
He did not apply for bail and it was formally refused.
Witnesses (pictured) said the woman arrived with her bloodied and bruised daughter before yelling: 'Your son hit me, your son killed my daughter'
Mr Khazma had been living with the mother, and they had only been together for six weeks,Daily Telegraph reported NSW Police said. The mother discovered the girl on Monday afternoon at a home in Guildford West and then drove with the child to a relative's home, police said on Tuesday.
Neighbours described how a woman pulled up at the front of a home on Monday screaming 'you've killed my baby'.
She reportedly collapsed with the toddler unresponsive in the back of the car.
Emergency services were called and paramedics commenced CPR on the child who had gone into cardiac arrest.
Acting superintendent Glen Parks said the mother is 'very upset' and is helping the police investigation.
'This is going to be a long process and we need to work with her,' Supt Parks told reporters.
He described the assault on the girl as 'shocking'.
'It is a human instinct to care for the young and the vulnerable and when instances like this occur it is often very difficult to comprehend,' he said.
'Any incident like this is very difficult.'
A NSW Police spokeswoman said the girl remained at Westmead Children's Hospital in a critical and unstable condition.
